Missing all teeth
Your prosthodontist can fabricate complete dentures as a replacement for teeth in cases where removable prosthetics are indicated. Complete dentures can be removed from the mouth by the patient, and it is generally recommended that they be left out of the mouth during sleeping hours. Often times, dental implants can be added to improve the support of the prostheses.
Missing some teeth
Your prosthodontist can fabricate a partial denture as a replacement for some teeth in cases where indicated. Often times, partials include clasps to hold the prosthesis to adjacent teeth and may require additional crowns to aid in the fit of the partial. There are other techniques available so that metal display of the clasps will be as minimal as possible when you smile.
